We did this in 5/14 and the wines needed more time, so here they are again with a touch of overlap. Bought on release, stored fairly cool, opened for over 4 hours, and served at about 60 degrees non-blinded.
Served with eggs...
My favorite food match this evening was the thinly sliced smoked duck breast and any Pinot. Salmon pate a close second.
Served with some macarons.
This met expectations, I think the 5-7 year drinking window for this vintage is just right so far.
2011 Analemma Wines Pinot Noir Blanc de Noir Atavus Vineyard 91 Points
USA, Oregon/Washington, Columbia Gorge
Fun way to start an Oregon Pinot Noir tasting! 100% PN from 40 year old vines. White citrus, green apple, toast, and chalk notes zing around your palate riding the crisp acidity. This could go a couple more years.
