  • 2016 Albert Morot Beaune 1er Cru Les Toussaints

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru

Tasting at the domaine. Just near Cent-Vignes, but very different profile. Much rounder and accessible, well supported with mint, anise and allspice. Also tannic, but closer to harmony young, 2025 forward.

  • 2016 Albert Morot Beaune 1er Cru Les Aigrots

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru

Tasting at the domaine. Slight reduction, but otherwise very bright aromatic start with red and black cherry and background spice. Very fine tannins, this really shows very fine balance as well. Near Clos des Mouches. Very good potential.

  • 2016 Albert Morot Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes 91 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru

Tasting at the domaine. SO2 hint in the way to start, but otherwise a rich, rounded start followed by more minerally and elegant middle and finish. Blackberries, dark coffee and anise. Less hail here, more normal yields, so not surprisingly more accessible. Very good value wine.

  • 2016 Albert Morot Beaune 1er Cru Teurons

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru

Tasting at the domaine. Rich black fruit, very meaty and powerful with very good length. Not a finessed wine, but the minerality is very exciting, just slightly behind the very rugged tannins. Patience required. Comes across as more "old school" vs the rest of the lineup, in both very good and bad ways.

  • 2015 Albert Morot Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes 91 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru

From 375 ml bottle at the domaine. Ripe black fruit that shows much of the same flavors profile as the '16, but with much more concentration, depth and length. Slightly more tannic, so this isn't a fun, delicate wine, but a burly, powerful and impressive 1er Cru to cellar for a decade+.

  • 2016 Albert Morot Beaune 1er Cru Les Aigrots Blanc

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru

Tasting at the domaine. Floral and perfumed start with plenty of ripe apple, baked apple and some tropical hints. Very elegantly textured. 90-91 point potential. Small production.
