Stood out for how green and funky this was, but really held it's own with all the classified growths. Wonderful mature bdx. Will hold for another decade plus.
A delightful elegant bdx. I've never seen such a perfect cork and fill on a wine from the '70's. Light, not particularly concentrated, but showing great aromatics and typicity. Cedar, flint, some smoke and spice.
A little thin, with harsh tannins in the for. Still needs to integrate the tannin, but may always be a little "foursquare" as the fruit is clearly in the background.
Very young, despite being mostly '07? As this opened it gained in pepper and spice clearly showing the syrah in the blend. Really interesting, and stood out from the rest bdx.
This was fantastic, one of the best wines of the night. Explosive aromatics of mint and cedar. Palate is a little narrow still but has plenty of depth. Going to age SLOW.
Amazing complexity that you only get with old wines. Still drinking fantastic, big aromatics, balanced sweetness and acidity. Quite lively. Overshadowed the d'Yquem's for me.
Amazing how young this is, as the crimson color you'd expect of a 10yo bdx. Showing more aromatics than my last bottle, but the palate is still stately and foursquare. Big and powerful, and could still use some time.

Wow this is good and still very young. Polished, seamless, quite nuanced. Velvety mouthfeel. Still needs some time to open up more, but the pieces are there.
The nose just kills. Spice, leafy tobacco, herbs, with an exotic flair. Still showing some tannin on the palate, lush lush than a recent '95 or the '90. Tons of complexity. At or just past peak?
Showing some maturity with more tobacco leaf than primary fruit, fine tannins that turn a little harsh on the finish. Has a hint of that Graves smokey character. Quite nice.
Still quite young. Cab franc character stick out a bit giving this a distinct herbal leafy character mixed with still vibrant red and blue fruits. Getting there, but probably 5+ yrs away from expectations.
