France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Yellow. Lactic, leesy nose. Weighty and caressing without seeming heavy. Creamy and long. Bitter citrus and perfectly weighted wood. Outstanding and unmistakably Grand Cru quality. Already delicious.
Light ruby. Brambly and floral. Light but powerful in the mouth. Slightly briary dark berry fruit and soil well juxtaposed. Refined, complex Marsannay.
Light ruby. Fragrant and herbal. Light bodied, penetrating black fruit, great acidity and soil, rising tannins which suggest a long evolution. Excellent and quite elegant.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru
Medium, clear ruby. Complex, inviting aromas of herb, berry, and earth. Light to medium weight, spherical harmonious feel that fans out on the palate. Subtle, complex, long, and regal. Wonderfully resonant berry fruit. Showing unbelievably well now, but I have to believe that this has the stuffing and balance to go on for decades. Absolutely outstanding and it demonstrates how much the best Gevrey Grand Crus can pack into deceptively light frames.
2017 Domaine Bruno Clair Marsannay Rosé
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Marsannay Rosé
Deep pink. Berry aroma-smells like a red wine. Medium weight, black fruit, tannic. Impressive rosé.

2016 Domaine Bruno Clair Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru
Clear ruby. Has some Savigny brambliness, but subdued. Bigger, more herbal, rougher wine than the Vosne. Chewy, deep, serious. Give it time.
