Introduction
Barrel samples pulled ahead of time and tasted with Frederic Barnier. Great to taste all the benchmarks in what appears to be a strong vintage for Jadot across red and white.

A pure, enjoyable wine. Bright acidity offsets rich apple fruit. Long citrus-filled finish. Very good. 89-90.

2018 Louis Jadot Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières

Forward, rich and dense aromatics. Really nice richness and fruit concentration, though there is refreshing acidity especially in the lively finish. Good flint notes throughout. 90-92

Mineral and white fruit nose. The palate is more substantial than the Perrieres with heavier fruit weight and more breadth. Sufficient acidity to keep it bright and fresh. This one will need time. 90-91

Yum, intense and flashy nose adds fruit, citrus and spice to the orchard fruit. Nice balance and purity here. Bright, intense core of white fruit. Lots to like. 90-92

Immediate step up in concentration and seriousness. Very broad and rich with nice layering. The fruit has a fatness but well offset by fresh acids. Think the vintage suits this wine. 92-94

Preferred this to the Batard. Similar GC concentration and density but more electric and more mineral-inflected. Powerful, driving finish. 93-95

Forward aromas of black cherry, earth and spice. Palate shows jammy red fruit and plenty of richness. Finish is fresh and lively. Bigger vintage on display. 90-92

A favorite Jadot cuvee. Dense and structured. Black cherry fruit is rich with nice earth and mineral. While it's structured there is a refinement to the tannin. A big wine that will need time. Frederic shared the soil is chalky like Bonnes Mares and he thinks like the Bonne Mares, this cuvee picks up elegance with a decade+ in the cellar. Interesting. 91-93+

Effusive black cherry and spice aromatic is very Vosne. Palate is silky and elegant. A real restraint to the rich fruit. Smooth, long finish. Strong. 90-92+.

Full, dense nose of black cherry, meat and spice. Screams of Gevrey. Expansive on the palate as the G.C. concentration fruit fill the mouth. Rich and chewy. Good offsetting freshness. A classic and great vintage in the making. 92-94

90 year-old vines. A wow wine that is so seductive already. The palate is at once rich, layered and lively. Behind the G.C. concentration black fruit you have loads of meat and spice. Big, yet elegant and already showing so complete. Fantastic. 95+

Full lifted spice and red + black cherry in the nose. The palate shows very Vosne with a silky and elegant texture. Plush red + black cherry fully of spice. Drinking well as a barrel sample. 92-93

Equally as impressive as the Beze. Slightly reduced nose but the fruit still shines through with plenty of spice. A simply wow palate that is rich, decadent and plush. Powerful yet lively and showing refinement in the finish. Another classic in the making. 95+
