Nose is a clear step up from the Bourgogne with more serious and deep fruit aromas. The palate has lots of plump, rich fruit with round, smooth edges. Bright acidity balances the richness. VG village wine.

65-90 year old vines. Boastful, enticing nose with plenty of spice, meat and earth complexity. Rich and deep on the palate, but again with some bright balancing acidity.

From North Gevrey. Vines planted in 1952. Aromas are more brooding here, though some spice does come through. Great concentration and textural complexity. Silky tannin. Fresh acids. A very high quality village wine.

25% whole cluster. Reserved nose with non-delineated red and black cherry. Another step up here with more concentration, depth and complexity. Lots going on with fruit, meat, florals and loads of spice. Fresh and long. Impressive 1er. 92+

Tight nose. The palate also is less giving than the Champeaux and village wines. Concentrated with plenty of stuffing. Can only assume this will blossom in barrel and bottle. Harder to assess today.

From a plot right next to Chambertin. Big, dense nose of mostly black cherry. Wow - very showy and approachable with boastful red fruit, spice and meat. Powerful yet elegant. Excellent wine and potential. 94+

From vines planted in 1920. The nose is tight with dense non-delineated black cherry. The palate is another story - wow - very showy and approachable. Great concentration of fruit with spice and meat throughout. Sensational texture. So concentrated yet lively. Equal to the also marvelous 2018 Jadot CdB earlier in the day. 95++

PnP. Bold nose with rich black cherry and spice. Palate is fully approachable with rich fruit and intense meat spice. Classic Gevrey that is ready to go. Terrific for its level.

PnP. Big smoky, earthy and spice-filled nose. Forward and approachable. Good richness, density and intensity. Lively acidity. Fun now, but just flirting with what should be an impressive 1er. 92+
