Flight 1 (5 Notes)

  • 2007 Giuseppe Contratto For England Blanc de Noirs Pas Dosé 91 Points

    Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Alta Langa

Pale coloured and somewhat green, as if young, and it has a good balance of the lemony leesy nutty feel of a traditional method sparkler, and also ripe stone fruits of nectarine and apricot, limestone, and cool mint

  • 2017 L.A.S Vino Chardonnay 'Fuck Him' 94 Points

Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River

Great freshness, with some medium ripeness in peaches and pineapples, some green capsicum spices and cloves, and a good touch of vanilla at the back. Great balance and complexity! Could not believe it’s relatively less known as I think it can be comparable to the likes of Leeuwin Art Series. Very well made! Ok just to be clear, this nectar has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the Don, and yah I mean THAT Don

  • 2006 Mollydooker Enchanted Path 92 Points

Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale

A powerful blend of black cherries, cassis, blueberry, cloves, and some tar and peat. Could feel the high alcohol warmth though, but fortunately the intensity made up

  • 2006 Mollydooker Shiraz Carnival of Love 94 Points

Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale

A very big power, darkness, lusciousness, blueberry, cassis, coffee, chocolates, cedar, and yet still having cool notes of mint and summer flowers, which gives it an elegant feel. Strangely balanced despite the punch, and so complex. A pretty subtle finish though

  • 2016 Rabble Wine Company Red Blend 90 Points

USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles

An initial hit of green herbs, eucalyptus on the nose, and then some red cherries. Tannins still strong and the black cassis intensity is apparent, with herbal notes and tar. There’s a medium level of acidity but alcohol felt quite burnish. A good wine for everyday drinking and enjoyment
