Based on the 2006 vintage with 27% reserve wines, 54% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir and 26% Pinot Meunier, disgorged October 2014, dosage 3.5 gr/l. Rich and vinous style, noticeable oak influence, beautifully mature, gentle and flowing, silky texture, harmonious flavours, balancing bitters, very good length. Ready.
Luscious for Raveneau, but so silky and smooth and flowing, absolutely seamless, creamy citrus, subtle aromas of chalk, wafts of flowers, very good but not exceptional length. Extremely attractive but not the tension and energy of the 2016.
Imported directly by the restaurant itself. Stunning wine. Incredibly fresh, not an oxidative note in sight, ripe citrus with a beautiful line of acidity running through it, the warmth from the oak supports and defines the character but in no way dominates, waxy bottle-age; very good length.
Floral and lifted, elegant and dancing and fresh, completely belying its age, firmly structured, ripe fruit, elegant weight (12.5% ABV), elegant tannins, very good resonance and length. Quite amazing for what it is.
Decanted. Elegant and intense, beautifully pure expression, creamy, almost buttery, seamless and silky, deep and spicy, at perfect peak, roses and peaches, excellent length. Stunning.
France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux
A blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, organic viticulture, 15 months on oak, one third new. Inaugural vintage. Luxurious and elegant, complete and well defined, rich and refined, perfectly enveloped tannins, remarkable finesse for a wine from the Côtes de Castillon.
Excellent purity and precision, highly polished ripe fruit, high quality sweet oak, perfect balance, young but with everything in place, ripe but fresh, delicately enveloped tannins, very good length. Modernistic style, but the quality is indisputable.
From a 0.6 hectare plot of 60 year old Chardonnay vines in Congy, Lot 14/1 No. 24, disgorged March 2019 after 48 months sur lattes, so 2014 base vintage. This has rounded, ripe peachy fruit, elderflower sweetness, vibrant mousse, and enormous minerally intensity. Rich and powerful, with a nutty richness, but elegant and precise at the same time. Rare and impressive.
