Outstanding richness and seeming old vine concentration and feel. More oxidative than many wines tonight but not in an exaggerated way that compromises its sense of freshness. I was deeply impressed by this.
2002 base wine. Complex, mellow, and ever so slightly nutty. Grand, creamy feel, excellent acidity and verve, very fine length. Another of my favorites at this tasting. Would consume this particular bottling sooner rather than later.
Surprisingly, both of the Courtin wines had off aromas, here some reduction and funk. Underneath this, though, the wine was nicely elegant and dry. Would like to retaste.

Lovely weight, citrus fruit, and balance. There is some youthful austerity at the end suggesting the wisdom of several more years of aging. Excellent.
