Really not a fan of this. The nose has a distinct whiff of raw bread dough, and the palate, too, has a pronounced yeastiness that isn't too enjoyable. Couple with that a relatively thin texture from the low dosage. Not my style of champagne at all.
Emrich-Schönleber and Keller make the best GGs to my taste. This bottle exemplifies that. It's got a beautiful herbal tone on the nose, as well as some peachy fruity elements as well. The palate is rounded with good breadth and just the right amount of ripeness to carry the acidity and minerality. Great stuff that will only get better as it ages.
Pretty good for sauvignon blanc -- this has a pretty nice, rich texture, with some of the attendant flavours: gooseberry, kiwi, that kind of thing. The palate seems to get a bit of bulkiness from the riper area and maybe a generous bit of oak. Pleasant subtle floral/honey tones as well. A good example overall, but I actually don't know any producer that really makes great wine from the grape, except Vatan (and Didier Dagueneau).
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
A truly great bottle of Chambolle, very 2010 and very Chambolle. The nose starts off with a generous helping of the bright red fruit, as well as a delicate floral perfume that's quite enticing. On the palate, there's that same elegance, as well as a stony, minerally core that gives this drive. Not shut down at all, this is immensely drinkable and approachable even at this intermediate age.
This bottle felt a little too young and a bit ornery on the back end. Nonetheless, the same character is largely there, with a lovely core of crunchy red fruit. The fruit character is crystalline, but on the palate, the tannins seemed a little harder than they have in my last few experiences with this wine. Perhaps it's now time to leave these in the cellar for a few years.
Pretty much the glou-glouiest of glou-glou wines. Kind of nice in that sense, but complexity? This is basically free run juice/hipster white zinfandel. It's pretty drinkable though, I'll give you that. Then I saw the price tag...
This is definitely a riper, bigger style of syrah, but it actually hasn't lost the distinctive elements. It is admittedly a bit richer and bigger with more of the black pepper elements than my more preferred olives and saline, but certainly I would expect this of something like a Napa syrah. Very restrained for what this is, and quite good. Would love to see where this goes with a good amount of age on it.

#14-09, 8% abv. Drinkable, but definitely more browned and less fresh than it ought to be.
