Single blind. Gorgeous nose has mature plum and berry and an array of nuance -- tobacco, bell pepper, licorice, herb and mint. The palate is bright and fresh with seamless integration. Fine tannin still going in the finish. Terrific and punched well above its weight class.

Single blind. Classic left bank plum, cedar, spice nose. The palate is fresh, rich and still quite chewy -- so youthful. This is classy with plenty of structure and life ahead. Perhaps even some upside.

Mature plum nose with some moderate notions of herb. Plump fruit on the palate with resolved structure. Less intense finish. Solid but this bottle's best days are past.

Hopefully/likely a flawed bottle -- nose of A1 steak sauce and mit. Advanced and plummy fruit where you can still sense the ripeness. Flat.

Powerful 'wow' nose that has intensity and layering. The palate is delicious with rich fruit that is still quite fresh with good fine structure. Delicious.

A more elegant nose with earth, clay and gravel with some cedar notes as well. Silky in the mouth with ripe fruit made elegant by nearly resolved fine tannin. Good but prior bottles have been more rich and fresh.

Full nose of mint, herb, clay, fresh fruit and a hint of band-aid. Yum - chewy plum fruit with nuances of pencil lead and cigar leaf. This is still young with plenty of purity and length. I liked it better than most.

Single blind and my WOTN. A wow, fragrant and bright nose that has mature red fruit, herbs and spice. The palate has arresting intensity and delicious fruit that is both broad and deep. Plenty of suave tannins throughout. Legs to age another decade+

A full nose of ripe plum and black cherry layered with herbs, clay and classic Cab notes. Wow the palate has so much richness and intensity with a bright elegance. Complex array of flavors in the finish. Guessed Haut Brion - oops.

An enchanting nose that is so complex with mature plum, herb, spice and a distinct band-aid note (that is not for everyone). The palate is rich and just beams with complex layers of fruit, tobacco, earth and more. Long, long finish. Guessed LMHB.

Another singing nose in this flight. Here the aromas have a core of pure, clean plum fruit with herbs, clay and spice adding complexity. The palate has a ton of power but still fine and elegant. Great length.

Beautiful nose of honeyed apples and melons with intense spice that goes on and on. A core of pure, sweet and honeyed fruit that has pinpoint balance and precision. What a combination of richness and elegance. Long, layered finish.

Classic CdC with a smoky, toasty, yeasty aromas layered in with ripe orchard fruit. Still fresh. Rich and dense. Very generous. Great right now.

Next to the 05 this is less flashy and less obvious -- clearly has plenty in reserve. The rich, dense fruit is there with a smoky and toasty undertone. Just taut and holding back. Early bottles were very generous so this may be shutting down. Clearly has class and upside.

Very good but the least generous and interesting of the 05/06/07 trio. I think it'll be better in 3-4 years and then have a very long drinking window. Tight bead and plenty of acidity. At least a couple points of upside from here.
