Expensive Champagne Tasting Preview for the 1995 Holidays
Terrific lineup of Champagnes that helped me to continue my love of Champagne to this day.
Lovely Champagnes tonight. The 1988 vintage was a great vintage to enjoy young and aged well the next 10 years.
1988 Louis Roederer Champagne Cristal Brut 98 Points
France, Champagne
Very rich cream, peanut, and wafer nose, nice, rich, creamy taste, slightly austere, well balanced, much bigger than most tasted tonight, needs 5 years to peak, received 2 pours and the fresh pour confirmed it was my WOTN. My #1 of 8 and Group #3. $89.97.
