Group of 4 (John K., AJ Laura and DGW) enjoyed a lovely evening after 41 C afternoon in Phoenix..."it's a dry heat..."
Appetizers included the melon soup, crab cakes, and shrimp cerviche..main course featured rack of lamb with sun dried tomatoes, duck with cactus/melon glaze and Hawaiian spear fish
but then, the only one that we ordered. 2002 Alec's blend Syrah @ $110 was not available so went with Shafer.
We toasted our dear friend Roland who is indeed Relentless! Finished up the evening outside with Remy...perfect
2001 Shafer Relentless 92 Points

Terrific wine; 81% syrah and 19% petit syrah...did not decant, but wine was very approachable, did not have any stemmy or "green" affect. Super fruits, great balance, plenty of tannins and long finish; just hitting its stride
