Introduction

Just picking ... maybe ducking.

Flight 1 - Pynchon & Co. (1 Note)

Relaxed by the glass as ever but quality is going down.

  • NV Dimobe (Bodegas A. Muñoz Cabrera) Pajarete

    Spain, Andalucía, Málaga

    (9/10/2021)

Obvious, redundant and nourished on the nose. In the mouth is quite similar to that initial message, leaving a mellow and fruity aftertaste. Moderately persistent but boring, just with an apricot bone. Soulless. Blend of Moscatel plus PX

Flight 2 - Alioli

Recovering my bottle at last? ... Oh yeah. Now at home.
They're backing to normal business. Hoping more wines too.

Flight 3 - San Telmo Gastrobar (5 Notes)

Finally trying something new by the glass in a new place with tradicional tapas with a modern touch ... nothing extraordinary anyway.

🔸Ensaladilla Rusa (11/20)
🔸Bocata de Calamares (13/20)
🔸Torrija (12/20)

    Spain, Castilla y León, Rueda

    (9/10/2021)

Fruity with a note of soft fennel. Complexity zero but more than a woman will appreciate it. Almost sweet onthe palate presenting a very slightly bitter finish. No depth but friendly and easy if finds its audience.

    (9/10/2021)

A very strong note of hay on the nose and oily texture on the palate for a simple, predictable deeply boring wine.

  • 2016 Bodegas Murviedro Monastrell Alicante Sericis Cepas Viejas

    Spain, Valencia, Alicante

    (9/10/2021)

Potent, greedy and clearly alcoholic. Slightly earthy with a lot of dark fruit and that influence of ripe fruit with notes of Chinese ink and candy from a 70’s kiosk. Alicante Bousquet memories ...

    Hungary, Tokaji

    (9/10/2021)

Some apricot for the end of an open bottle before Christ. Slight bitterness and very short with a soft citrus acidity. Its best time is over, no doubt.

Flight 4 - Family (2 Notes)

Definitely bubbles ... Plus something else.

  • 2017 Viños de Encostas (Xose Lois Sebio) Mais Ala A Falcoeira

    Spain, Galicia

    (9/11/2021)

Ripe pears evolving into meringues and pastries. Excellent complexity for a godello. Length, elegance and fineness in the mouth with a central trunk of acidity that refreshes, deepens and balances. Very long, with a delicious aftertaste. Another success of Sebio. The right way to do things in Galicia ... a special bottle. Consider this.
Pretty Chassagne-like even being made with godello grapes.

Peras maduras evolucionando hacia merengues y bollería.

  • NV Bollinger Champagne Millésime Brut 007 James Bond

    France, Champagne

    (9/12/2021)

Recently bought. Light yellow colour with a tiny but abundant well-defined pearl bubble. Delicious toasted cereals with citrus notes of blood orange peel and marble stones with a hint of hazelnuts. In the mouth those same bubbles burst at the tip of the tongue, refreshing the palate along with a wonderful balance between density and acidity for a long and persistent finish. Always showing its aristocratic origin, even in a commercial cuvée like this one. Appetizing fresh, irresistible almost iced. Still firmly convinced that bubbles are for summer time ...

Recientemente comprada.
