  • 2018 The Four Graces Pinot Noir Reserve Yamhill-Carlton 89 Points

    USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton

    (9/13/2021)

Nose: The nose is upfront and forward with Plums, ripe red cherries, cranberries, vanilla bean, spice notes, herbs, violets, crushed rocks, and a touch of oak. The oak imprint is definitely there, but it isn’t overwhelming or driving the overall flavors.

Taste: The feel is Full bodied with medium acidity and silky, medium tannins. There is a plushness to the feel with forward tones of plums, ripe red cherries, cranberries, spice notes, herbs, vanilla beans, and some oak as well.

Overall: The oak poked through just a bit too much and will hopefully settle with a few years of aging. This leans much more into the fruit-forward category and it could do that job really well if everything balances out.
