• 1985 B.R. Cohn Cabernet Sauvignon Olive Hill Estate Vineyards 96 Points

  USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley

  This was a surprise, I owned 4 bottles of it at that time, lovely, rich, complex nose with hints of olive, lovely, rich, olive taste with berry fruit, almost nectar for fruit, lovely, long finish. My #1 WON.

  Touch of cardboard, very nice, smooth, velvety taste, touch of mint on nose and palate, good acid, nice fruit, hint of sweatsox-ouch. Tied for 14th.

Great look back, interesting scores, and a surprising top score. The top 5 were amazing and I added the Grgich, Laurel Glen, and Kenwood Artist Series to my cellar over the next 2 weeks.
