  • 2015 Domaine Roulot Meursault Les Meix Chavaux 93 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault

Meix Chavaux 2015. Classical Roulot nose, many subtle nuances; effortlessly flowing palate, impeccable purity and balance, creamy lemon fruit and a hint of orange, remarkably elegant and fresh for a 2015, hint of spice from the delicately sweet oak; salty and energetic finish, very good length. A magisterial lieu-dit, at perfect peak today.

  • 2018 Laura Lardy Morgon Cote du Py 92 Points

    France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Morgon

Very pure, very natural, very precise, very elegant, a wonderful expression of of grape and vineyard, silky and transparent, cherry and peach, rose and violet, the mildest of tannins, soft but fresh and airy, granitic spice, very good resonance and length. Went very well with Entrecôte Normande from Polmard (six weeks dry aged).

  • 2013 Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape 92 Points

    France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Mainly Grenache, almost entirely raised in concrete. No Cuvée Vieilles Vignes this year, those barrels were also used for this basic cuvée. Fresh and glossy, bright Grenache fruit and garrigue, pure and spicy, rounded and elegant, supple and spicy, percaline tannins, very good resonance and length. Showing very well today.

  • 1995 Domaine Huet Vouvray Sec Le Mont 92 Points

    France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray

The crisp and minerally core is competely intact, with green apple and lemon curd, but the aromatic profile also displays evolved spiced apple and seal wax, the finish is dry and tight and energetic, with noticeable bitters. Still very good, but it starts to feel a bit disjointed.
