Lovely - clean on the nose, hint of sous bois. Colour wise - crimson, maybe showing the first signs of age. On the palate - gripping, great structure, lovely acidity, black fruits and a hint of blood and soil. Just lovely Cornas and in a great place right now. Looking back on previous notes - this maybe the best bottle of this wine I've had.

Find i'm drinking a lot of Treloar these days, and easy to understand why. On opening - a little feral, poised, none of the young Syrah pepperiness but tight with some good acidity - carries its 14% abv lightly. Over the next 30 minutes or so the feral became fecal and it became a little less enjoyable - not sure if this is Brett or what? Left on the side for another 90 minutes or so and came back to it - all in much better balance now, just the right side of animale - and outstanding vfm for a well put together Syrah.
Another billy bargain. Clearly a new world Bordeaux Blend but carries it (and its 14% abv) lightly. The cab franc is very evident. I suspect this will age well but very enjoyable right now - enjoyed with home made Devon Wagyu burgers and Doctor Who.
Lovely - somewhat gentle - not as spiky and vibrant as when it was young, and not the refined, quiet wine I suspect it will grow into. I don't want to damn with faint praise - this was jolly nice - but I suspect the absolute worst stage to drink this wine. If i had more i'd leave a few more years to the next one I think.
