2018 is the 20th consecutive vintage of "Mernet", proprietary blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet this vintage. Nose of intense, rich fruit, black fruit, berry and cherry, touch of minerals, and floral notes, same on the palate, big body, very tasty, rich, mouth filling fruit, needs 5 years to peak and easily merit a higher score and last 20 years, long finish.

2015 Oakville Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 95 Points

A favorite winery of mine from the 1980's, nose of black berry, black cherry, and dusty earth, same on the palate, big body, very tasty, needs 2 years to peak drinking, mouth filling fruit, showing very well today, an exciting wine until you see the $190 retail price, worth the money, and a long, long finish, and lovely aftertaste.

I was told this wine was made with the help of Thomas Rivers Brown and it shows. Nose of black fruit, black berry, and dry earth, same on the palate, big body, lovely fruit, intense fruit, very tasty, and a long, lovely finish, at peak so enjoy now, still available for sale at the winery, $74 retail, new winery and label to me.
