An assemblage op 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, fermented and aged for 11 months in demi-muid and six months in cask, disgorged November 2021 without dosage, 6200 bottles produced. Very pure and direct, dry but not austere, palpable minerality, flowers and spices, fruit becomes a bit more apparent with more oxygen and as the wine warms up but fruit does not drive the wine, apple, apple skin bitters, real energy and length.
Deep colour, rich red and black cherry fruit, clear and pure expression, spices and a hint of earth, cherry liqueur, energetic with bright acidity, very good resonance and length. Very 2020 in character, with a ripeness of fruit which I have never encountered before in Irancy. Lovely now, good future - until 2035?
