The perpetual BYO quest continues with Frank and Wayne at Chubby Cheeks for some modern Thai fusion
various bits of thai based loveliness were clumsily and sometimes successfully matched to the wines below...the donnhoff pretty much went with everything, the breuer worked well with the seafood stuff and the pegau performed relatively well with pig, the nitthaus played nice with beef...the casa d'ambra and tahbilk worked well with lighter flavoured dishes...
Phew, Chubby Cheeks is just about on our list of BYO's based on this performance
2020 Casa D'Ambra Ischia Bianco
Italy, Campania, Ischia
aromas of peach, pear, slight candy floss, touch of green and bitter almond skin on the nose. Softly juicy, pear and peach, almond skin, candy floss, perfectly pleasant.

2005 Georg Breuer Rüdesheimer Berg Schloßberg Riesling
Germany, Rheingau
Medium minus intensity aromas reveal a little kerosene, stone fruit, lime, lemon, smidge of apple. Medium plus intensity acidity, rich, textured burr, stone fruit, a little apple, lime, touch of apple skin bitterness, quite glycerol. Best showing of this for me. Very nice.

2013 Nittnaus Blaufränkisch Kalk und Schiefer
Austria, Burgenland, Neusiedlersee
Red and blue berries, earthy with slightly jubey notes, savoury, mineral underpin. Juicy medium plus intensity acidity, very slight funky (almost Bretty?) notes, red and blue berry, fresh, chalky tannins are drying though the fruit persists long. Nice.
