Garnet, clear. Nose of pepper, roses, ripe fruit, spices, earth, soy sauce, iodine. High acidity, high level of nicely textured but slightly fierce tannins, moderate alcohol, big but balanced, savoury, long complex. Great future.

Garnet. Slowly developed with spice, licorice, menthol, earth and minerals to start; nice fruit emerged later. Very savoury on the palate, with high level of smooth tannins, perfect acidity. Nicely built wine.

Ruby, not Nebbiolo-looking. Closed to start, gradually opening up with some mint, earthiness; no fruit. High alcohol, high acidity, fine/powdery/ astringent tannins, medicinal.
