WTSO Zoom
Tasted Wednesday, February 15, 2023 - Friday, February 17, 2023 by 3daywinereview.com with 182 views
Another great WTSO Premium Wine Club Event with the theme of French Wines. These Zoom events are always informative and educational with Mark Supsic leading the discussion. Highly recommend them as for $100 for the wine and education it is an outstanding value.
Rutherford Merlot is the theme for March.

WTSO Premium Wine Club: French Wines 2/16/2023
70% Grenache/20% Syrah & 10% Mourvèdre
15% Alcohol & Natural Cork
Day 1: Very nice with white pepper, raspberries, floral, earth, Garrigue and spices. Young but shows lots of potential. 92 points
Day 2: Young but shows long term promise. Black pepper, raspberries, cherry, rose petals, spices, stone and Garrigue. Medium plus finish and very concentrated. Good acidity. 92+ points
Day 3: This is really showing well young and my favorite wine of the tasting. Classic Garrigue, cracked pepper, raspberries, ripe strawberries, spice, floral and stone. 93 points
Recommendation: This is inbetween Classic CDP & Modern CPD without the heat that some offer. Very nice wine and will cellar for 10 plus years.

(2/16/2023)
WTSO Premium Wine Club: French Wines
13% Alcohol & Natural cork
Day 1: An hour of air has done this well. Mushrooms, mild funk, cherry, floral, perfume and spice. Needs some airtime and should develop nicely over 3 days. 90 points
Day 2: Not as good but still solid. Sour cherry, rose petals, perfume, mild spices and strawberry. Just lacks the complexity of day 1. 88 points
Day 2.25: Amazing how wine transforms. Wow with Rose petals, perfume, minerals, stone, mushrooms, dust and red currants. Much better than a little bit ago. 91 points
Day 3: Not nearly as good.
Recommendation: A solid overall value from WTSO.
