La Paulée Dinner and 2021 Burgundy EP tasting in Singapore
Various producers present showing their 2021 vintage alongside back vintages to try
Bottles brought by myself and other friends around the table
2021 Domaine des Lambrays Morey St. Denis 92 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis
En Primeur tasting. Nicely perfumed with red fruits. Not as much depth versus the Grand Cru, but drinking nicely. Could be upscored with more age in bottle.

2021 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays 94 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru
Tasted EP at the Vintage Club 2021 EP Tasting in Singapore. Apparently I was the first private individual to try this EP globally!
Perfumed and elegant and very nuanced. Red fruit forward but with touches of a earthy depth showing. Nice acidic balance and freshness. Drinking well now and will surely age very well.

2006 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays 95 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru
From magnum. Beautiful nose and palate of dried roses, tobacco, spices, cherry, raspberry. Long and delicate finish. A real pleasure to try.

2017 Domaine des Lambrays Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières 93 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
An honour to try one of the few bottles which make it out of France. Buttery, brioche nose and palate. Lemon and rind acidity. Good balance.

2011 Domaine de Montille Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Le Cailleret 94 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Fresh and still very young. Lemon rind, white flowers, touch of peach. Lots of subtlety and nuance. Really good!

2017 Vincent Bouzereau Meursault 1er Cru Charmes 93 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Very nice concentration and depth. Stone fruit, lemon, touch of ginger. Less creamy than others tried - can still age.

NV Vincent Bouzereau Bourgogne Blanc Crémant
France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Blanc
No rating as didn't make a note. I don't remember being particularly impressed but want to record having this.

1999 Comte Senard Corton-Clos des Meix 91 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
Still surprisingly young from this perfectly stored ex-domaine bottle. Earthy nose with dark fruit. Not the most complex and touch off balance but drinking decently.

NV Egly-Ouriet Champagne Grand Cru Brut 96 Points
France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
Smells and tastes like apple crumble: dough, cinnamon, ginger, apples. So precise and complex. Heady, fresh, toasty and warm. A seriously enjoyable Champagne, one of my favourites yet and tastes a lot more expensive than it is (if you can get a case!).

NV Egly-Ouriet Champagne Premier Cru Les Vignes de Vrigny 93 Points
France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
Similar to the Grand Cru Brut tasted alongside, but a step down in every way - lacking 10-20%. The mid to late body especially lacked the complexity of the GC. Still a great effort but just not as "wow!".

2021 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes Mares
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Still young so needs more time to develop (and I am sure improve). No detailed notes, but I wrote it was less powerful and concentrated than the 2021 Clos de Beze Grand Cru tasted alongside.
Projected score when fully mature: 92-95pts.

2021 Domaine Bruno Clair Chambertin-Clos de Bèze
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru
No detailed notes, other than more fruity (red and purple fruit) and more powerful/concentrated than the 2021 Bonnes Mares tasted alongside.
Projected score when fully mature: 93-96pts.
