More powerful bouquet than the village, this was showing good robustness and even slightly broody with sweet dark fruit and morello cherries. On the palate, there is a good core of dark fruit and earthiness alongside concentration and density. Good length and balance on the finish here.

Bouquet opened with violets, dark cherries, black berries and soil which persisted and ensued on the palate with the addition of candied plums, and cranberries. I liked the layers of fruit concentration here and while there is good elegance and balance, this does not quite have that complexity I would chase in a heartbeat - nonetheless, a good showing :)

Almost as if I got a bit too carried away with the image of the young lady with the Amoureuses, a picture of a burly bodyguard appeared in the form of the Bonnes Mares. Darker fruit in nature with plums, prunes and blueberries coming to the fore transitioning into meat spice, cherry licorice and earth on the palate. There is power and persistence - even bordering on being a little broody but yet showing good concentration, density and freshness. Touch of saline here that I picked up that I thought was interesting.

Some similarities to the Amoureuses in that same lifted but less ethereal bouquet that opened with lavender, violets and cool cherry cola. This transitioned into layers upon layers of sweet raspberries, dried roses, unriped plums and sandalwood with some chalk and baking spice. Palate showed fantastic concentration and finesse. Finish was textured, tender and expressive with velvety tannins. Admittedly this needs time but nothing marred this lovely showing today!Comtes Georges de Vogue

Lifted and sensual bouquet opening with lovely purity of fruit, roses, eucalyptus, strawberries and raspberries. Transitioning onto the palate, this is layered with subtle touches of cinnamon and fennel spice, dried roses and sandalwood with good structure and depth. There is also a lovely earthy and mineral base supporting the underlying with concentration and freshness. This wine elicits an expression of a young lady that slowly blossoms over time into a hottie. Damm, this is good!

2017 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Blanc 94 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Musigny Grand Cru
In glass this had a greenish yellow straw hue which opened up to a bouquet of roasted cashew, nectar, peanut skin and lemon slate. This transitioned onto a nice tart like characteristics like lemon curd, green apples and lime zest with some elements of tropical fruits, think yellow plums and pineapples. Good layered core of fruits and mineral base with crisp acidity in the finish. A little tight and linear at the start but over 1.5 hours blossomed and put on weight and grew in depth.
Interesting experience and I like this one but am quite hesitant to definitively say that for its price point that this is on the same level as the likes of the Batards and Chevaliers from Ramonet and Leflaive.
