Spottswoode Tasting in London

Introduction

A wine merchant hosted an extensive tasting of Spottswoode at a local restaurant. My takeaways are that the second-label Lyndenhurst punches above its weight and drinks well early, the estate Sauvignon Blanc would suit palates that like the Loire, and the Cabernet Sauvignon is very structured and needs 10-15 years to become approachable. A fun tasting but TBH the wines don't seem to shine as much as some other top Napa producers I've been fortunate to try over the years.
