Walk around tasting. Good depth for its level with equally good richness. Finishes with mineral flourish that is also slightly bitter right now, but I like this when it likely softens, 2025 forward.
Walk around tasting. Slightly reductive but accessible. Good combination of lean and rich with good length. Better to cellar another year or so, but this will drink well young.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny
Walk around tasting. Pure red and black cheery, nicely spiced and elegantly mineral textures. Well balanced and forward for the 2018 vintage with very good length for its level.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
Walk around tasting. Also surprisingly accessible for an '18, with the depth and power I expected. Nearly balanced already with an expanding finish. 91+ point potential from 2026-.
Walk around tasting. Reduction made this to fairly assess, but there is a lot of pure black cherry here with impressive weight for young Barbera, so I am optimistic.
Walk around tasting. Wonderfully rich with red and black cherry and very good depth, all while nicely balanced already. Silky, long finish. Very good potential.
A few bonus bottles post-tasting. Lean lemon and green apple with some lean, grassy notes characteristic of Aligoté from this lean vintage. Good length, nicely bright.
A few bonus bottles post-tasting. Great nose. Spiced black and red cherry are very rich with a firm mid-palate for now, Very good length. This needed lots more air, certainly better from 2029- even better yet from 2034-.

Very big. Ultra rich, modern, oaky, warm on finish. A style of wine I can appreciate others like, but is not to my taste.
