  Grapes harvest 21 Aug 2020, disgorged Jan 2023, 4290 bottles, 0 dosage. Aroma of citrus, green apple, slight orange notes whiff of floral, peach. Lingering finish, body med low, high acid, some mint, wet stones, linear, tannin on the palate. With air it opens up red apple, high aromas.

  Bottle decant for about 7 hours. Aroma of game, meat, touch of earth. Med body with high acid, long complex finish.

• 2017 Roagna Barbaresco Vecchie Viti Pajè 96 Points

  Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco

  Bottle decant for about 7 hours. Seemly darker in colour compared to the Barolo. Heady bouquet of red cherry, lot of roses going on, touch of tar and of minerality. On the palate, high acid, fine tannins with finish that seem to go on.

  Bottle decant for about 7 hours, airy, lot of red cherry, iron, hint of meat, ethereal aromas with fine tannins, high acid with super finish.

• 2017 Roagna Barbaresco Vecchie Viti Asili 96 Points

  Bottle decant for about 7 hours. Denser compared to the Montefico, even though previously I had preferred the Asili. Liquorice, meat, dense. Splitting hair at this level as this would be a standout amongst others.

• 2014 Roagna Barbaresco Crichët Pajé 97 Points

  Decanted for 7 hours. Served along side the Giacosa Barolo reserve, this was airy, heady, like standing in a rose garden. Palate was stunning silky, full of roses. Stunning wine.

• 2014 Bruno Giacosa Barolo Riserva Falletto Vigna Le Rocche 94 Points

  Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo

  Decanted for about 7 hours. Along side the Crichet Pajé, jammy, rich cherry, touch of heat. Lot going on the palate but needs more time for it to flash out. As it sits in the glass, rose and tar emerge revealing the more feminine side.
