Great density; this feels like it has filled out a bit since I had it on release a few years ago. Moderate earthiness, not too much pyrazine, and just a little rustic barnyard here. Quite pleasant now, but overshadowed by the far more convincing 2017.

Not a very convincing showing, and clearly the least favourite of the three vintages on show tonight. Dirty, thin, and weedy, with pronounced barnyard notes. The lightest of the three on the palate, with good acidity but the flavour profile just isn't working out here. Maybe atypical?

My favourite of the three vintages tonight. Plenty of fruit, and darker in complexion than the other two. Maybe even a little bit of sweetness from all the dark fruit on display here. Leather and pyrazine accents (and only accents). Heavyset for Rougeard but very good for my palate.
Yeah, definitely not my cup of tea. "Chunky and alcoholic." Somehow not oily though, just cloyingly sweet (without fruit?!) and incredibly phenolic and high-alcohol.
30% Doña Blanca, 30% Treixadura, 30% Verdello, 10% Monstruosa de Monterrei. Slight salinity on the nose, but pleasant yellow fruit here. Clean and crisp, a little lower in acidity than I'd like but more than drinkable and fresh. Very interesting stuff.
