20th Annniversary Celebration. Rented a beach house here in HB for 10 days. Came in and lined up 12 months of winebid.com hunting for all to enjoy. Casual snacks, dinner, great friends, lots of wine over 10 days.

Just too tough to score. Started out with a crumbled cork. Light, brickish in color, no nose. Out of bottle without food ... a sour cherry fruit, a bit past it's prime solid cab from the 80's. An interesting throwback.
With steak a few hours later a bit of a french nose, dusty, leather, aged dried fruit, cheese?? End of bottle, 2 hours, opening up. Sour fruit attack is gone, acids and tannims still there, wow. Long lingering finish of aged jammy wine. Yummy in the end. Some structure emerges. Better. 92ish.

Beautiful color, nose and nice long finish. Typical Napa Cali Cab fruit, full but not excessive body. Yummy. Great effort here. 5+ years left.

Port like upon opening. Sweet fruit, dark and brooding underneath. Later opening up to depth upon depth of complexity to a long lingering deep amber fruit finish that coats the mouth and deep into the throut. Drink up now till 2010.

Very sweet fruit. Dried herbs lingering on the nose through a mid palate finish. Excellent wine, going places, no end in sight for development. Try again next summer.

What a nose. dark fruit, hint of choc., Deep & dark. Long finish, strong tannins and solid structure. Loots of time to develop even more.

Good color still. Nose is light, not there. Gone. Light body, not the full in your face Barossa. Fruit What is left of the fruit is a bit off, funky aciidy finish. Dry. Sour bad?

Just fine. Rich deep fruit, integrating perfect even in the 1.5l. A bit complex med finish with the interesting blend really coming through. A good wine, a re-purchase candidate. Good value.

What a treat. Fine bubbles, very citrus mid palate, lemon zest, bright acids. good by itself and with light food. Deep lingering finish.

Still some strong tannins running through this rich, deep and dense Merlot. A nice piece of winemaking. Dense ripe Merlot fruit. A bit of coffee and anise in the nose and palate.

Just perfect. Day 1 and 2. Rich velvet application of very dark dense rich Merlot fruit. Napa dusty leather thing going on as well. This baby has some time left (1.5l). Good value.

Some tannins still there... wow. Beautiful stinky nose, French almost. Nice mouthfeel, rich liquid, attacking sour cherry fruit, giving way to long finish on mid palate.

Nice mature color and nose. Toasty Oak. Anise? Concentrated dark fruit, bitter choco mid palate. A solid effort, unique Merlot for sure. Drink up.
Decanted by Bill and poured back to bottle prior to sunset cruise around Westlake with family...

Nice surprise. Full nose, still strong despite age and price range. Deep dark Merlot fruit, oaky sweet and perfect tannins. Drink up of you still have them.

Nice light floral nose. Good light body weight, easy in the mouthfeel, coating a nice liquid around the palate. Not fruity, not too French. A bit sweet on the finish? Drinking fine now, with some life left.

Light bodied Zin with still substanial acid and tannin to carry a bit more. Long lingering finish, gets down deep of light fruit cherry flavours. Nose of driedn cerries. But acid is a bit off. Just becoming brickish and wine was strangly cloudy.

Still cloudy, so a bit weird to look at. Nice aged Zin, spicy still with sweet fruit, leather on the slightly drying finish. Nice wine.
