I really appreciate the opportunity to drink this. This is extremely good for this kind of blend, but it doesn't really hit the notes that would make it a bigger hit with me.

This is a real disappointment for me from the first sniff. There is a clear underripe quality to it that is just too herbal with baking spices, red cherries, green herbs, raspberries, and baking spices. The Medium bodied feel shows off the green and slightly underripe tones of the nose along with medium acidity and slightly green, medium tannins. This was a miss for me. It was just too green in the wrong spots.

This shows off good depth and balance with a bit of elegance to the savory qualities. The Medium bodied feel carries through that balance and savoriness that is backed up by crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. I'm routinely a fan of this wine and this is no different. There is a lighter touch given the vintage, but that works more than fine for me.

The nose is fresh and lifted with violets, juicy red berries, red cherries, blueberries, baking spices, red fruits, some herbs, and wild flowers. There is a lightness of being to the nose, but it lacks depth and comes off a bit simple. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and fresh with medium acidity and chalky, medium tannins. The tannins are a little stiff, but this does show slightly better on the palate than on the nose. A few years could certainly do this some good, but it won't ever turn into anything magical.

There is a lovely, heady quality to the tones of red cherries, raspberries, fresh picked red berries, crushed rocks, violets, rose petals, and some earth tones. There is excellent depth with an attractive coolness to the fruit. The Medium bodied feel is fresh and elegant with tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. This is a flat out pretty wine. The nose is so lovely and fresh already that is backed up with really good depth. This is a little deceiving though in how open it is as there does feel like it will have an extra gear to kick on to with some time.

The nose is wound a bit tight, but with a restrained power to the tones of dark red berries, dark red cherries, raspberries, herbs, crushed rocks, licorice, and a touch of black tea. There is excellent complexity here, but for clearly youthful reasons, this isn't working in full harmony. The Medium boded feel is robust and balanced with tart, medium+ acidity and chewy, medium+ tannins. This is starting from a really strong base, but it is absolutely too young and it will need some time to fully round into form.
