Medium golden color. Expressive nose showing apricot, floral and mineral notes. Palate showing orchard and pit fruit, apricot repeats, pear, honey and wet stone. Fruit persists through the mid palate. Medium body, long finish.
Great showing, drinking perfectly now. Has a good arc ahead of it. Should drink at this level for forseeable future.
Second wine of the evening, supplied by Robin. Nicely chilled
Medium/light gold color. Aromas of citrus/lime, floral notes. Palate of citrus, lemon zest, melon, hazelnut, lavender(?). Silky texture. Medium weight and long finish.
Elegant wine, great showing. Seems it should drink at this lefvel for some time.

First red of the evening. Supplied from Robin's cellar. Decanted about 90 minutes.
Bright garnet color, not separation. Nose showing red fruits, spice. Palate of blackberry, cherry, plum, cola. Spice and fruit cake. Texture is viscous and jammy at this stage, spices through the mid palate. Full body, long finish.
Great showing on this evening. Still young, should evolve nicely over the next decade.

We had a large enough group to warrant opening of a 3L. Bottle in my cellar from around 2010. Decanted about 3 hours prior to drinking. Had a bottle of this vintage a month ago so I knew it needed it. Drank this after a 2015 St Prefert.
From prior notes: "Dark garnet color, mild thinning. Nose showing dark red fruits, kirsch liqueur, baking spice. Intense palate showing, black raspberry, earth, garrigue, smoked meat, baking spices (clove and cinnamon prominent). Spice and sweet red fruits, raspberry through the mid and back palate. Full body, long finish."
Notes are consistent as tasting was recent. My prior tasting of this wine was a month ago, first experience with the 07 vintage. This showing was even better than the last bottle - we drank this over an hour+, the wine continued to improve in the glass.
This is a good as it gets for CdP, hitting all the notes, perfect texture, weight and length. I am giving it 100 points (up from 98) as the expression of CdP is as true as it gets...

From my cellar, first bottles of this vintage of Pegau for me...Last wine of the evening. Bottles had been decanted and rebottled 3 hours prior.
Dark and brooding garnet color. Nose showing ripe dark fruit, savory notes, garrigue. Palate of black cherry, tobacco, leather, herbs. Concentrated and rich through the mid palate. Tannins present but sweetened. Full body and long finish.
Great showing on this might, drinking younger than I would have expected. Well stored bottles should go for another 10-15 years...my #2 for the evening.
