Alongside the Ramonet. Quite a contrast. While Ramonet was forward and fleshy, this was much brighter and restrained. Very powerful and robust, but also backward. Wonderfully tasty now but there is so much in reserve. Both aromas and flavors were more expressive when revisited after three hours.

Typical Coche reductive start, this slowly, slowly, slowly opened up, with the second pour suddenly and magically popping. Stone and orchard fruits throughout with wonderfully floral notes. Patience rewarded in this bottle and glass.

Tasted double blind. Musty and uninteresting aromas, surprisingly followed by wonderful flavors of macerated strawberry and earth. Profile made me think this might be 1960s Grand Cru from Morey.

Charming aromatic start was perfumed and completely engaging. Flavors are enjoyable, even if not as enticing and fully showing its age. This never lost steam, even after a couple of hours.

Air travel was not kind to this bottle, with the cork pushed into the bottle, which led to some leakage. The wine remained tasty and pleasant, but without anything noteworthy.
Bright and wonderfully fresh, especially for the vintage. Strawberry on nose and palate with plenty of structure in the near background. Very good length. Complex from start-to-finish.

4 cm fill. Mature red cherry and berry with savory spice. Still nicely bright, very well balanced and persistent. One of the best bottles of this wine I recall tasting.
