Light golden, excellent bead, youthful color; aromatic, yeasty and brioche, still very fresh; palate is medium bodied, fresh but also rich, exceptional balance; long finish. Top tier champagne, exactly what I expect from Taittinger. 93-94 Day 2: Lacking a bit of the magic of the first day. Still good, but not as amazing.
Light golden; aromatic, richer, slight cheese, yeasty; palate is full bodied, funky but also fresh, nice balance, solid fresh acidity; long finish. Very nice, seems young with a lot ahead of it. 92-93 Retaste: really good balance, funkiness is gone, well balanced. 93+
Golden; aromatic, rich, brioche without being overly so; full bodied, rich, but balanced with high acidity and freshness, not oxidative but perfectly mature; medium-long finish. Wonderful, at perfect drinking age now. 93
AP 25. From 375mL. Aromatic, pear, white fruit, white flowers; palate is medium-full bodied, richly textured, medium-plus acidity, solid mango, medium alcohol; finish is medium length. A nice Eiswein, though not the most complex. 90 Day 2: When chilled properly, this shows well. Not as concentrated as most Eiswein, but it shows good richness with freshness, some mango and tropical fruit with some lighter white florals; medium finish. No reason to age this one. 90-91
