Old mature wood, ripe fruit, opens very nicely to lots of rich fruit, at peak, slight hints of burnt vanilla, lots of acid and tannins and fruit with hints of a hot brick taste, long and pleasant finish with hints of jammy fruit.

1986 Château La Lagune 93 Points

Ripe cabernet nose, hints of wood on the nose, hints of ripe fruit, almost open taste, very intense fruit, rich, ripe, berry fruit, lots of layers on the palate, long finish with more acid.

Very ripe fruit and mushroom nose, with hints of wood, very red color in the glass, lots of wood and fruit in the mouth, tannic, nice woody overtones on the finish.

Very young, ripe fruit, black berry fruit, black currants, opened on the palate to mushroom, young, ripe, rich fruit and mushroom, medium body, long finish with lots of tannins.

Hints of grapefruit, caramel, and popcorn on the nose, some sediment in the glass, lots of ripe, rich fruit with lots of tannin. long fruity finish with too much tannin, definite storage problem compared to other 1986 bottles tasted.
