2017 vintage, 2022 disgorgement. Golden, excellent color; aromatic, lemon-lime, brioche; palate is well balanced, fresh but with slight richness, nice acidity, low to no dosage?, nice balance; medium finish. Very nice. 92
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Saint-Aubin 1er Cru
Golden, richly aromatic, almost caramel apple (but not oxidative); palate is full bodied, nice balance, not the most complex palate but lovely balance and character; medium finish. 91-92
Deep tawny, high shoulder, fairly good condition; aromatic, some crème brûlée, slight caramel, brown sugar; palate is medium bodied, dry, some botrytis, caramel without being sweet, touch of brown sugar; long finish. Absolutely wonderful, incredible balance, stage 4 Sauternes with basically no sweetness but lots of flavor. Lacking the intense complexity of top wines like the ‘67 Yquem, but an exceptional experience and a good purchase from K&L. 94 With an hour of air, this got even better. Dried orange, even more complex, palate is showing more spice. Really lovely. 95
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
Gorgeous pale ruby color, youthful still; aromatic, strawberry; palate is light bodied, youthful red fruit, medium-plus acidity; medium length finish. Really lovely burgundy, but a bit youthful and needs more time. 91-92+
Light ruby, age-appropriate bricking; aromatic, mature aromas with forest floor sous bois, Asian spice, red fruited; palate is mature, red strawberry, forest floor and sous bois; medium length finish. This is fully mature, wonderful aromatics, ready to drink now for this village level wine. 91
Slightly cloudy, primary red fruit, slightly high toned, slight bit of funk; less intense aromatics than the Mugneret; palate is youthful, richer red to black fruits, medium-plus acidity, Balanced alcohol; finish is medium length. Young and with slight oak, still needs time to develop mature notes. 89
From a 375mL. Fabulous color, golden-orange; orange peel, citrus, slight grapefruit; palate is medium-full bodied, vibrant medium-plus acidity throughout, balanced alcohol(12.5%?), off dry sweetness; finish is long. This is a superb wine with plenty of growth ahead of it. 94
