A total of 12 pax Armand Rousseau wine dinner.
We had a 2011 Clos st Jacques that I kept for 2 days ago which is still performing well. But only have enough of 2 pax so exclude for this tasting story. Lavaux is probably the best quality to price point. Disappointed with the 2013.
It was mentioned that Mazy Chambertin was the rarest among the GR for Rousseau. Personally like the 2007 vintage more even thought I give the same score.
It was a mixed between 2005 and 2010. Probably 50-50. I give both 100 pointer as I don’t think i can taste any wine better than these. It was mentioned that Ruchottes was enclosed within wall hence the name Clos des Ruchottes.
I give 100 pointer to Clos de la Roche as it cannot be any better than this. But if drink side by side with the earlier flight, I probably will choose the 2005 Ruchottes Chambertin as the winner.
How can we have a Rousseau night without the King of Chambertin. It’s still young and a long way to come.
WOTN was mixed with different votes. Personally felt it was between the two 2009 and 2005 which is a very good vintage and in its optimal drinking now.

Reductive notes on the nose, with notable sulphuric compounds. Aerated for 3 hours in the bottle but it didn’t went away. Decanted and introduce oxygen in the decanter. After 2 hours in the glass, the sulphur notes went away slightly but still persistent.
