Drank the 81 and 87 Unico tonight over dinner. The 81 is for me a spectacular wine. Its been in a great drinking window for a number of years. Explosive from the get-go, this is full on Unico. The nose is spectacular. Loved it.
The 87 is a good, not great Unico. Its balanced and enjoyable, but lacks the wow factor that this wine is capable of. While not in danger of going downhill, I doubt this will get better and if you own it feel free to drink up.
