Introduction
We take turns. The host provides the dinner and all the wines. There is no theme. The wines are poured one at a time.
This was a special occasion because we celebrated John’s 10th anniversary of his wine business and he gave us a very special treat.

All wines showed perfectly and it was a very special evening amongst friends, never to forget!!! And the food from the restaurant was very beautiful as well!
1989 Krug Champagne Clos du Mesnil 97 Points

Caramel, some nuts in the mature and complex bouquet. Same on the palate, elegant and beautifully fresh. Very exclusive and beautiful wine.

2005 Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Réserve 99 Points

Butter and white chocolate in the bouquet. Same on the palate, full bodied and round, bees wax and some impressions of honey and zest. Beautifully fresh, harmonious and well balanced. Some licorice in the finish. Great wine.

Minerals, gun flint and oak in the expressive bouquet. Same on the palate, savory, fresh acidity, enormous length and elegance. Very beautiful wine which is fully mature now.

Beautiful and mature Riesling bouquet with mineral impressions. Same on the palate, lemon and lime, good and fresh acidity, pineapple, saffron, beautiful balance between acidity and sweetness.

Dark berries, licorice and well dosed oak in the bouquet. On the palate blackberries, and other dark berries, full bodied and powerful, but also elegant, still youthful juice and an enormous length. Delicious and mature wine with enough power for a few years of additional cellaring.

Autumn forest and red berries in the complex bouquet. Some farmyard as well. On the palate still juicy red berries, autumn forest, tobacco, tertiary in a positive way. Still juicy and fresh. Impressive!

Beautiful bouquet with dark berries like blueberries and licorice. Same on the palate, dark berries and some raspberries, still youthful juice and really complex and aristocratic. Enormous length and not a bit too old yet. Harmonious and extremely beautiful.

Beautiful bouquet with sweet licorice and gingerbread. Same on the palate, very juicy and concentrated, sweet black berries and spiciness, chocolate, beautiful acidity, full bodied and an enormous length, well balanced and elegant. Perfect wine!
