Oxidized. Bitter finish. Definitely an off bottle. Heat damaged?

1990 Moët & Chandon Champagne Cuvée Dom Pérignon

France, Champagne

Pears and melon. Lots of soda minerality. Falls flat on the finish. Quite disappointing. Someone mentioned provenance was suspect.

Bright yellow in color. Petrol nose. Tasting of pears, orange, caramel and diesel fuel. Excellent balance. Incredible mid palate depth. Nice texture and mouth feel. Complex finish. AP#35360144389. 8% alcohol.

1989 Trimbach Riesling Clos Ste. Hune Vendanges Tardives "Hors Choix" 97 Points

Dark yellow color. Floral nose. Tastes of pineapple, melon, caramel and limestone. Incredible balance. Beautiful depth and complexity on the very elegant finish. An uber rare bottling and a wonderful treat. Wow. Thanks Rick. 13% alcohol. My personal WOTN.

2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese

Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer

Pale yellow in color. Tastes of pineapple and apple. Nice acidity and stone minerality. Rich finish. Seems a bit flat and off. Should be quite similar to the goldkap of the same year but shows very little resemblance. AP#25765112802. 7.5% alcohol. Would rate this in the the mid to high eighties but since I suspect it's an off bottle, rating withheld.

Golden yellow. Petrol nose. Tastes of apple, melon, earth, petrol and pineapple. Still quite young looking and tasting. This wine will go forever. Well balanced with nice acidity. Spicy finish with enormous power and complexity. Impressive but needs time. AP#25765112591.

Dark brown in color. Tea and citrus on the nose. Tastes of orange, lemon, tangerine, honey, brownsugar and pear. Excellent balance and surprisingly very fresh tasting despite being almost 40 years old. Soft and elegant finish with enormous depth of fruit. AP#25765111972.
