Introduction

Full MOT scoring - with Perlman's and Parkers. All wines decanted for 3 hours (in cold cellar for the first 2 hours)

Flight 1 - Lowest rating of the night (1 Note)

Flight 2 - 2nd lowest rating (1 Note)

Flight 3 - My #3 (1 Note)

Interesting contrasting Malbec to #1 - far better Malbec

    South Africa, Coastal Region, Stellenbosch

    Chalky and clean cellar bouquet. Good high tannins but the finish was not long - Need to taste again as a lowish score and not what was expected.

Flight 5 - My joint #1 - if finish was not as dry and longer it would have been #1 (1 Note)

  • 2000 Rudera Cabernet Sauvignon 92 Points

    South Africa, Coastal Region, Stellenbosch

    Chalky with clean strong earth terrior - a great bouquet. Very dark, almost black with heavy tannins. Moderately long finish. I think this should be decanted longer or maybe give it another 6 months before retasting?
