Not too much American wood but that signature is still quite present. A tiny acidity to compensate. Kept for long in the glass and kept improving and gaining balance. Good wine.
I got derived from the harsh tannins and I was sure this was an Italian wine. There is still lots of fruit and so much structure, it'll keep getting better.
Some brett, some vegetal notes to start with. Then that meat and leather signature of the appellation. Let this one breathe quite a bit despite the vintage and age.
Really surprised about this wine; I did not think monastrell could be so good and age so long... the palate is greater than the nose and it says it all. Great wine.

All potential acidity has dissipated at this point. Quite nice and balanced. Lots of tropical fruits. Good wine

The acidity is so striking for a wine of that age and for Burgundy. Out of balance, good but nothing shining.

Zesty, tropical, great backbone acidity, great balance. Really enjoyable and truly a great wine in that region.
