Introduction

A fun pasta collab between Shanghai pasta restaurant, Yayas, and RVLT wine bar. Chinese-flavoured pasta actually tastes good. Only complaint was that they ran out of pasta too quickly!

    Surprised this was a pinot noir. More like a blanc de noir with sediment. Red apple on the nose, palate is similar, a bit of sweetness.

    Interesting wine from a new winemaker. Pierre Clair is the viticulture head of Marquis d'Angerville and at the forefront of biodynamic farming.

    Trendy Burg nose of bright sour cherry and bubblegum owing to semi-carbonic maceration. The sprinkling of cedar brings it back to pinot. Strikes a nice balance of being very light while having good structure. A fresh energetic wine from a hot vintage.

    Quite a classic chenin nose of honey, pear and peach. The palate also shows some residual sugar. Lacking in acidity, felt flabby, short finish. But a good pick to go with the spicy pasta.
