    Apricot, slightly dusty, earthy notes, a little cardboard etc. Juicy fleshy, slightly dilute apricot fruit, a little textured, simple.

  • 2020 Azienda Agricola Ancestrale Vino III Bianco

    waxy, very slight volatile acidity, a little cidery note offers apple, honey, a little lanolin, stone fruit with time. In the mouth sharp acid is tart, very slight nail varnish remover, black tea tannins. Meh

  • 2020 Vini Rabasco Rosso Cancelli

    Italy, Abruzzi, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

    Earth, leather, black hued fruits, chalky minerality, graphite, a little brett, slightly funky volatiles nots. In the mouth it's juicy with tiny volatile nots, tight skin contact tannins are drying but pleasing and mouth filly, flavours and structure are quite fruit tea; cranberry, fresh blackberry, a little sour notes. Hmm

  • NV Fiore Podere San Biagio Vino Cotto

    Italy, Abruzzi, Abruzzo

    dark cherry, a little earthy notes, touch of almost creamy notes. Crips mousse enhances the chewy grippy tannins, muted black fruit non delineated on the palate, lovely tannins but, overall, Hmm.

  • 2020 L'Arco Rosso Veronese IGT

    Italy, Veneto, Veronese IGT

    medium minus intensity aromas of cherry, amaro bitter, a little dry maraschino, sweet spices, tiny touch of wood glue. In the mouth it's juicy with sweet cherry fruit, plentiful tannic grip which sucks at the mid palate, fruit persist and proves surprisingly rich and generous with a little coffee cream note, Nice in a bold way

    Wood glue, earth, leather, volatile acidity, tarry black fruits slightly baked…oof, very sour and sharp on the palate, tannins are rocky, chewy, coarse. Nah

  • 2019 Cascina Roccalini Barbaresco Roccalini

    Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco

    Cherry, pot pourri, violets, a little dried orange peel. Medium plus intensity acidity, silky tannins are drying, lightweight cherry fruit, elegant, balanced, a little non intrusive alcohol warmth and fruit tea on the finish. Good.

  • NV Cappellano Barolo Chinato

    Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo Chinato

    Amaro herbs, black, hued fruits, a little caramel and chocolate. In the mouth its sweet with plenty of tannins that prove raspy, quite amaro here as well. One of the few of these styles of wines that is on the up side for me though I wouldn’t' seek it out.

Closing

Giorgia's woofer was also in attendance...the puppy was almost as circumspect as some of the wines but came around eventually...arguably like some of the wines as well
