Tasted alongside the Faure Aligote 2022. Two very different wines; this was much richer with yellow apple, clearly som new oak, mint, some green leaves. Medium+ intensity on the nose, medium+ acidity, medium+ finish. 91-92
Tasted alongside Alain Chavy’s PM Les Charmes 2019 and I liked this much better. This is almost traditional Meursault, but elegant and with enough acidity. Lemon, lemon peel, plenty of reduction. Medium+ acidity, long finish. 90-91
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
This was still very closed, even with some time in the glass it never really opened up. Enough potential though. Lemon, green apple, minerality. Medium+ acidity, medium+ finish. 91++
Tasted next to Thomas Bouley Pommard 2019, I liked the Bouley more. Well made in a slightly rustic tradition, not yet at peak. Red cherry, truffle, sous bois. Medium+ acidity, medium tannins, medium finish
2022 Domaine Nicolas Faure Bourgogne-Aligoté La Corvée de Bully 90 Points
France, Burgundy, Bourgogne-Aligoté
Medium+ intensity on the nose with lemon, herbs, mint. Medium+ acidity, medium+ finish. 90-91
From vines planted in 1914. Very different from the 2020 I tasted earlier this year
