2022 Mullineux Chenin Blanc Kloof Street Old Vine
South Africa, Coastal Region, Swartland
Grapes come from vines under 25yo, 80% tank, 20% oak 8-10yo
Ripe citrus, stone fruit, stony minerality, round, balanced, forward, welcoming, spicy, some heavier floral notes, finesse, mastic/white chocolate notes, offering sweetness and richness.
Palate is lively, highly drinkable, citrus notes, some quince notes, light to med body, nice texture, crunchy, med finish, a touch bitter at the end

2022 Mullineux Old Vines White
South Africa, Coastal Region, Swartland
7yo vines, 60% Chenin blanc, then Grenache blanc, Clairette, Semillon Gris, Viognier, Verdelho
Very different in style, more layered, finer, citrus fruit, nutty in a way, spice, almond, nutty in palate, high acidity, more mineral. Structured, complex, some green tropical fruit, med body and long finish.
The wine feels a bit youthful and reserved for now but cannot deny its beautiful character

2020 Mullineux Kloof Street Swartland Rouge

Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Tinta Barocca, 30% stems, old oak but large vats
Vibrant, freshness, red and black fruit, the stem use is more apparent here, a few spice notes, there is a biscuit element here.
Palate showing nice juicy structure, blue and black fruit, there a bit of warmth, tannins are juicy, fresh, vibrant, a few herbal notes, green notes, med body, short to med finish

2019 Mullineux Syrah

The grapes are sourced from different soils in Swartland, 80% stems
Vibrant, juicy nose, filled with red and blue fruit, a few hints of Indian spices in the back, some floral and herbal notes (thyme and violet).
Palate with super smooth texture, fine tannins, ripe sweet notes, friendly, juicy, med body and finish

Fresh, blue fruit, finely structured, floral notes, fine oak frame, decadent, sweet spice notes, there is an oregano spicy note, powerhouse.
Palate is fresh, juicy, lighter than the nose, chalky tannins, a touch warm, lean body but very long, med finish

Blue berry notes, forward, floral notes, elegant, fresh, bold dense fruit core, some spicy notes, warmth bread notes.
