Cornus, apparently the London opening of the year, has a tempting menu and does corkage - let's check it out
These were excellent - there was a (very elevated) gougere, a tartelette with extremely fine pastry, and a delicious cube of pork belly. Both focaccia and sourdough were also very good.
A shame about the Beaucastel VVs, but everything else showed well or better - and the food was delicious

A fresh, youthful bottle that (according to my knowledgeable companions) was showing better than these sometimes so; it was certainly very enjoyable, and a shame only to have one glass! A pleasant melange of ginger, orange peel and green apple, with some caramel showing towards the finish, and excellent balance. Great way to start.
