Saturday at the Grillmaster's

Perfect weather, red meat, and wine - only 2 things can improve upon that 1) a Grillmaster - to perfectly cook that meat 2) company of friends. This day - as it seems quite often at this location - had both. :)
Fernando - thanks again - it was a vacation - a short walk to Argentina - and honestly the only thing missing was the tourists with cameras. :)

  sweet nose of pears and cream, but the middle is dry and minerally, showing good acidity, needs time to focus.

  concentrated dry mangoes, spicy, tinge of herbs, rich and ripe nose leads to a lighter than expected body, ripe apples and pears, good tartness on the finish but its a touch short. the nose is a killer though - can smell it all day.

  Ripe fruit, spicy, meaty, not overly jammy nose, serious frut in the middle are balanced by a great acidity, good finish. Happy to have tried some more of Dain's wine.

  Started out spicy and peppery but with time the fruit becae richer and fuller, mainly red berries. rustic in the middle, sour cherry and herbs with chewy tannins and refreshing acidity. not light, but very good CDP

  Ha - i tought i never had this but it turns out i had the same bottle at the same place... but 2 years ago! (wildly - same score!)
  Modern wine - started out with jammy ripe fruit but with time evolved - showing more spice and iron, with the jamminess gone. balanced serious middle, chocolate and cherry middle, still strong tannins. this wine needs more time but it came on to be quite impressive - and the initial heat was dissapearing as well.
