2022 Domaine Cachat-Ocquidant Ladoix Blanc
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Ladoix
Grapes sourced from 3 climats, mainly clay, 8000btl
The wine is bright, citrus, lemon, grapefruit freshness, light oak frame, a touch spicy, youthful, elegant, finesse bit also expanding in the glass as it gets more air, some sweet notes too.
Palate showing breadth, some bitterness, citrus, grapefruit, pear and green apple, med acidity, med body and long finish with bitterness coming strong. There are a few tannins here from the oak, some buttery almond notes, nice texture, nice balance between fruit and oak.

Would be fun to pair this with anything that has cumquat or bitter notes, anything with oily texture or slightly smoked notes.

2022 Domaine Cachat-Ocquidant Beaune Saint Désiré Blanc

The grapes are sourced from plots next to Pommard
The wine is way bigger than Ladoix blanc 2022 tasted before, the oak is thicker, ripe citrus, a few medicinal notes. The wine needs some time to open up
Palate copies the nose, with a lot of citrus and tropical fruit notes, buttery, almond, brioche notes, fuller body, mineral. The wine shows a very smooth texture, med finish, even though it feels rather reserved for now.
With more time in the glass, you get a lot of sweet smoke notes.

2022 Domaine Cachat-Ocquidant Bourgogne Blanc

Fresh notes, mainly bitter though, grapefruit peel, lime, citrus notes. Freshness, there is a nice grape fueled nose now, next to buttery notes, pretty evident MLF.
Palte with smooth texture, buttery, lower acidity than expected, highly mineral, citrus. Grapefruit, finesse and elegant, very easy to drink, almost ethereal (as it gets more air and time in the glass), med body and finish.

2022 Domaine Cachat-Ocquidant Ladoix Les Madonnes Vieille Vigne
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Ladoix
70yo vines, 50% new oak 50% 1st use
Highly extrovert in the nose, smoky, full on spicy, fine red fruit, red cherry, red currant, stalky notes, vegetal notes, with time the fruit gets darker, sweet spice notes.
Palate showing finesse, elegance, red and black fruit, thin spice and oak frame, again mineral, a touch warm, austere tannins, med body, showing acidity, long smoky finish with a licorice and slightly green element.

2021 Domaine Cachat-Ocquidant Corton-Clos des Vergennes
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
Grapes sourced from a 1,5ha vineyard of 80yo vines (the oldest he has), 75% new oak 25% 1st use
The wine shows tensity, density, heavily herbal bitter notes all the way to pharmaceutical notes, stalky and rubbery even. This needs a bit of time to open up, fruit-wise its more on the darker red side than black cherry.
Palate shows the same profile as the nose, but its quite smoother, crunchy red fruit, spice mix, elevated acidity, currants, long finish. The wine shows finesse but its very early to drink now

2015 Domaine Cachat-Ocquidant Corton-Clos des Vergennes

The bottle came straight from the winery for the tasting
The wine shows the same character of the 2021 tasted before, a lot of sweet spices but also a few herbal notes, warmer, heartier, more profound.
Palate shows elegance, finesse, light body, nice crunchy acidity, red and black fruit, mineral, med body, cuts rather short
