One of those annoying corks which get stuck to the side of the bottle and turn all crumbly. Anyway. The wine itself is fantastic. It's clean and crisp with the expected acidity of the vintage, but also the weight and musculature you want from a Clos de Bèze. Still a few coarse tannins here and there, but this is absolutely ready to drink now.
#11-17, 8.5% abv. A bit fleshy and easy for a Brücke. Sometimes they come off as more crisply dressed, but this one is showing up in a hoodie and sweatpants. Delicious, if sweet and forward and a hint flabby. In the grand scheme of things, not a great edition of this wine, though that's more a relative statement than anything.
#25-21, 12.5% abv. A good, not great edition of this wine. It is relatively lighter in stature than other orange labels, and I have to think it might be a bit a product of the vintage. Good attack and midpalate, but the finish falls off a little coming across as fairly light with a slight bit of tartness. Not gonna kick this off the table anytime soon, but I've enjoyed other vintages of this wine more.
Many, many years since I've tasted this wine. It's really filled out. Despite my personal inclinations, some teenage nebbiolos are actually quite approachable and drink well. Lovely floral perfume here and stunningly gorgeous red fruit. The ripe vintage with the light style works a charm here. One of the best youngish Barolos I've had in a long time.

2016 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Spätlese 90 Points
